The public library is one of our favourite place to visit. Not only is it great for the kid and mummy to be immerse in interesting reading materials. There are plenty of activities and events that are fun for kids to check out. Many public library have specially designed section for kids and some are pretty awesome.  Here are our favourites:

This library has a kids section at the basement called “My Tree House”

My Tree House

The entrance is beautifully done with a forest theme. The cute little mushroom, flowers, squirrel and rabbit give the section a magical feeling. Another unique part of the big “treehouse” at the centre of the library. The three house is a great place for kids to sit and read.

What a delightful tour of some of the fantastic libraries in Singapore. I can see that a great deal of care and attention went into creating these. Apparently there are still some grownups around who haven’t forgotten what it’s like to be a kid! Especially appealing are the seats built right into the book stacks.

It’s really uplifting to see these designs and how appropriate they are. It must be really important for the people of Singapore to see the kids love to read and love libraries.

    🙂
