Fidgets at Turf City

{Updated July 2013 Fidgets is now call Fidgets World @ The Grandstand. Check out our review of the new Fidgets. There are now more activities and and everything looks even better.}

This is one of our most frequented indoor playgrounds. First of all, it is Big. There are three huge structures challenging enough for the adventurous kids. Second of all there are nice sitting places with a nice selection of food. Add to that are nice details like ample shelf space for shoes, nursing room and toilets that provide slippers in case you wet your socks.

Play structures

There are three big structures in the main play area with climbing structures, slides and ball pool. Our favorite is the first structure with the ball pool. There is a ball washing machine that sends balls in and sucks them back in to the machine for cleaning which the kids love. The other two play structures have lots of slides and are steeper to climb with “bridges” for the kids to cross and explore.

The three big structures for older kids can be quite challenging for younger kids so close supervision is definitely necessary kids younger than 5. There is a tall slide in the middle structures which lots of kids attempted to climb by holding on to the nets even though the nets they used is anti climb, so be sure to watch your kids or train them not to do that.

While the big structures are a hit, the kids love being at the toddlers area as well. Meant for kids under 4 and within full view from the cafe is a small structure with a little house and interactive play panels, a paddling car and tricycles area. Yet another separate area is provided for babies under 2 years old.

Cafe with CCTV

We like the three CCTVs in front of the cafe which is good for looking at what the kids are up to. The floor could be rather slippery when combined with the socks that we were required to wear though, so be sure to caution the kids against running in the cafe area.

Food is quite decent and pricing is reasonable enough and water is free. If you intend to eat at the cafe, order your food early as the cafe can get rather busy during lunch. We tried ordering at 1:00pm once and they had ran out of kids meal. An adult pizza cost about 12 bucks while the kids ham and cheese pizza goes for $5.50. I love their strawberry milk shake and vanilla latte. You also get a 10% discount on the food if you get their members card which is free. The price can add up though, we were there once from 10:30 – 4:00 with one kid. Ordered a latte, a kids juice, a kids pizza and nacho with cheese dip set us back by about 37 bucks.

Party rooms

The party rooms look very spacious and nice with enough space for a bouncing castle. We once attended a birthday party of a 1 year old complete with bouncing castle and led lights and everybody have lots of fun. The table and chairs came nicely decorated and finger food included were those that kids like.

Fidgets is quite a popular set up that could get very crowded on weekends. We once go on a weekday morning on a non school holiday and were quite surprise to see that the cafe seats were mostly taken up. The crowd seems to ease up a bit in the early afternoon.

$15 bucks for unlimited play. Admission is for kids up to 10 years old. Free for parents and kids under 1 year old. $1 dollar of your entrance fee will be donated to registered children charities in Singapore.
