Have Fun while Learning Science & Technology

Gets hands on with Coding, Invention, and Robotics

Children’s Worklab has a Minecraft 3D Game Design Course  where kids get to make their own video games while learning how to identify and overcome problems as a team in a constructive manner.

For: Kids 8 and above
Where: Children’s Worklab 
Duration and Time: 29 May – 18 August. Various dates.  9am -12 pm or 2- 5pm. $499 for a 5 day course.

Learn Scratch Programming

Saturday’s Kids is organising a number of workshops teaching kids programming using MIT’s Scratch Pretty cool way of to spend your holidays.

For: Kids 7-13 years old
Where: Commonwealth, Eunos, City Hall and Orchard
Duration and Time: Half and Full Day Camps. Various Dates
Cost: $660-990 per child

Wonderswork have a series of space, lego and mine-craft themed robotics camps and workshops. Fee includes Lunch.

For: 6 – 12 year old
Where: WondersWork@Liang Court
Duration and Time: 2-3 day camps from 10 am-2.30pm or 12.30-5pm, 2 hour project base workshops
Cost: $338 -$ 468 for 2-3 days 4.5 hour camps, $180 for two 2 hour workshops

Discover Science at Discovery Camps

This is where kids from Primary 1 through Primary 6 can discover science. Kids can choose from a variety of science related projects and outings base on their interest and levels. With outings such as a visit to the Pizza Hut Kitchen, Navy Museum or Pet Farm, kids are in for lots of fun and enriching time.

For: Kids 6-12 years old
Where: New Town Primary School 300 Tanglin Halt Road, Hanbridge School and Bartley Christian Church
Duration and Time: 5 Days Camp 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM , 29 May -2 June, 5-9 June, 12-16 June

Languages, Speech and Drama

Act 3 Drama Academy Workshops

For: Kids 3-15 years old
Where: ACT 3 Drama Academy, 126 Cairnhill Road, ONE-TWO-SIX Cairnhill Arts Centre
Duration and Time: 3 June to 4 August 2017 (1 – 3 hours workshop) is open to children 7 months to teens.
Cost: Cost of the workshops vary from $50 – $450.

Thinktank  Composition Writing

Explore techniques for narratives e.g. plot planning, scene setting, characterisation, development of gripping climaxes and compelling conclusions for the narrative; and brainstorming and organisation.

For: Primary 1- 5 kids

Chengzhu Mandarin Centre Mandarin Holiday Programmes

Designed for children 6 months to 9 years old, the programmes aim to ignite kids’ interest in the Mandarin language through interactive activities, engaging stories and meaningful cultural experiences.

Julia Gabriel Centre’s English holiday programmes.

Develop language and literacy abilities, cognitive and social skills, as well as build self-confidence.

Sports

MYMCA Survivor Camps – SPorts Edition

Work out with trampoline challenge, play frisbee, bounce a basketball while running, and running on water with the Aqua Zorb Ball Challenge!  at MY Sports Camp

Learn to Skate and Be a Super Hero

Skate with Us is organizing a Skate Camp. Campers get to transform into their favorite Superheroes. Besides learning to skate, kids get to take part in exciting activities like the Superheroes Pizza Contest and the all new Superheroes Amazing Race on Wheels!

For: Kids 3 -12 years old
Where: West Coast Park or East Coast Park

There are plenty of places to visit and things to do besides plenty of other activities specially design for the kids this year.
