The June school holiday period is a great time for going out and engaging in activities. Besides camps and holiday programs and workshops, many places are organizing special events and activities for the kids. There are so much to do and so many special events that we are very spoilt for choices . Here are our picks for events and activities to enjoy with the kids this holiday.

Art Garden 2013 at the Singapore Art Museum
A yearly program in June for the Children’s Season, Art Garden, Art Garden is great fun and engaging experience for us every year. There are plenty of new and fascinating and engaging art exhibits and films this year. Check out our experience at the Art Garden 2013.
When: 17 May to 1 September 2013 | 10am – 7pm (Mon – Sun) 10am – 9pm (Fri) Last admission to the museum is at 6.15pm
Where: Singapore Art Museum at 8Q , 8 Queen Street
$$$: Free for Singaporeans and PR. Free for kids 6 year and below. $10 for adults, $5 for Students & Seniors aged 60 and above . Enjoy free admission on Fridays, 6-9 pm.
Island Adventures at National Museum of Singapore
Children’s Season – Island Adventures 2013 explores our multi-racial and multi-cultural society through the themes of Food, Film & Wayang, Fashion, and Photography. Kids get to pretend to be an old-time hawker and invent a unique ‘Singapore dish’, watch wayang peep shows, be a tailor of different cultural costumes, and learn how photo studios of a bygone era produced coloured prints in the 1950s and 60s.
There will also be roving acts Friday 10am and 1130am, Sat and Sun 1130am and 230pm. Story Telling Monday and Wed 10 am and 1130 am, Sat and Sun 1030am and 130pm
When: 18 May 2013 – 21 Jul 2013 | 10am – 6pm daily (last admission at 5pm)

One Adventure, Many Discoveries at Science centre
Science Centre is not exactly a museum. It’s more than that. But it is cool they are making the place even more kids friendly with a Science Gallery Trail during Children’s Season with There are additional activities in the Einstein Room daily for a small additional fee.

Be a Zoolympix Rescue Ranger at the Singapore Zoo
Race around the globe in a race against time to save the planet! Kids get to learn first-hand how habitat destruction and poaching are driving many animals to extinction. There ill be six exhibits in the zoo that will double up as interactive game stations with challenging “rescue missions”. Nuggets of historical knowledge will also be incorporated into a educational and entertaining journey.Complete 6 rescue missions located around the Zoo and claim a reward in the rescue ranger sure-win lucky dip!

PLAYful moments with Playmobile and Story Telling at Sentosa.
Kids get to play in a Playmobil Western House, measuring 5.1m by 4m by 2.7m high, specially imported from Germany. Listen to stories like Hansel and Gretel , The Dragon Prince and Andy and the Magic Compass or Watch Puppet shows. There are also interesting arts and crafts sessions at a small fee of $10.
When: 01 June 2013 – 30 June 2013 | 11am – 7pm daily Daily. Story time on every Tues, Thur and Sat of June 11.30am, 3pm & 5pm. The Puppet Master Musical at Every Wed, Fri & Sun at 11.30am & 5.30pm.
