New Places to Go with Kids 2012 Edition

The past year sees an amazing number of new places to bring the kids in Singapore. The scheduled  attractions  and parks are completed and the number of private play spaces almost double in this year alone.

Water Theme Parks

We can never get enough with water play and the new theme parks offers exciting stuff.

1. )Marine Life Park – This oceanarium is technically a Water theme park and Aquarium. S.E.A. Aquarium, the world’s largest aquarium & Adventure Cove Waterpark .

Awestruck by the Ship Wreak Scene

The Water park boast six water slides, including the region’s first hydro-magnetic coaster, Riptide Rocket; the Bluwater Bay wave pool and tubing along the Adventure River. The river is one of the world’s longest lazy-rivers at 620-metre (2,030 ft) have 14 themed scenes of tropical jungles, grottoes, a surround aquarium.

2. ) Port of Lost Wonder – This water playground  in the form of a pirate ship is a kids club offers lots of fun at Palawan Beach, Sentosa.

Indoor Playgrounds/Space

We are totally amazed by the number of indoor play places that appears this year. Many new indoor playgrounds appear this year and many established playgrounds set up their new branches. We really have loads more option now when considering where to bring the kids, especially on a rainy day. Below are the ones we know of in alphabetical order. We have a number of additions this year to those nice free mall playgrounds so conveniently located at the shopping centres.

Parks and Gardens

17.) Bishan Park. This newly revamp park even gets a new name and a new river. We love the outdoor playground at Bishan Park Ponds Gardens.

18.) Gardens by the bay. Need we say more? This beautiful garden has won lots of media attention.
