Mid Autumn Festival ( also known as Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival or Zhong Qiu Jie)  falls on on 4 October 2017, falling a Wed but  related activities starts as early as 18 September  on wards! It’s time for kids to make some lantern, get in to some mid autumn festival art and craft and go for a nice walk with the lanterns!

Mid Autumn Festival at Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is the place to go for huge lantern displays, activities and cultural performances like lion dance. Big elaborate lanterns sets that celebrate the natural world, cultural performances and food street. with yummy goodies.

Make a Lantern at Wan Qing Yuan

Wan Qing Yuan is having a whole array of activities including guided tours, lantern riddles, Chinese arts and crafts demonstrations, lantern-making workshops and an array of performances. (Lantern Making for on 1 Oct 2017)

Make Rooster Lantern!

Kids get to make their own rocking rooster lantern as part of the Moonfest activities at The Esplanade
For: Children aged 5 and above ( Kids 6-9)
Where: Esplanade Bay Room  Meeting point: Concert Hall entrance, 15mins before start time
When: 30 Sep & 1 Oct 2018, 11am & 3pm (1.5 hours) Cost: $8

Chinatown Street Light Up and Carnival

Watch the streets light up with interesting lanterns.

For: Everyone
Where: Along New Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street , South Bridge Road and inner streets of Chinatown
When: September 23 – October 19
Cost: Free

Walk about with Lanterns : Chinatown Mass Lantern Walk

Come dressed like a lantern or bring along your creative lantern to join in the lantern walk which is open to everyone.
For: Everyone
Where: Starting point – Kreta Ayer Square, 28 Kreta Ayer Rd, Singapore 088995 Chinatown. Ending point – Along New Bridge Road (Main Stage in front of Lucky Chinatown)
When: 1 October 2018 (Sunday)7.00pm – 10.00pm
