Viu, a leading pan-regional OTT multi-screen video service by PCCW Media Group, has launched a new kids’ animation content category for two to eight-year-olds.
Among the top choice selections are China’s ‘Hello! Punebela’, Korea’s ‘Baby Shark Remixes’, ‘Rainbow Ruby’ and ‘Robocar Poli’, and ‘Ready Jet Go!’ and ‘Zou’ from the United States and France respectively. These popular edutainment animations provide engaged learning, encourage imagination, and teach important values and life skills for the kids.
All the kids content are downloadable so parents just need to save their children’s favourite animation shows onto their mobile devices before leaving home for around-the-clock entertainment while on-the-go.
Do note that Viu’s new Kids content is only available for Premium users. However, for a small monthly fee, free users can upgrade their accounts to enjoy exclusive perks such as unlimited access to all content (dramas, blockbuster movies, variety shows and kids animation), priority viewing as fast as 8 hours after the original telecast, and a seamless viewing experience from mobile to TV via Google Chromecast and AirPlay for selected titles.
Below are some of our favourite picks:
Pinkfong! Baby Shark Remix
Kids and their families can look forward to catching the highly addictive and upbeat song in various remixes.
Rainbow Ruby is the story of a spunky and resourceful little girl who magically transports to Rainbow Village, a whimsical land inhabited by her toys. There, she can be anything she wants, including transforming into different characters to save the day!
In Boonie Cubs, all the cubs observe the world in their own creative and wondrous ways. At this scenic Pine Tree Kindergarten, they learn everything from the value of friendship to exploring the mysteries of science and language.
Pororo The Little Penguin (Season 5)
In the snowy village of Porong Porong Forest, unknown to humans, there lived a little penguin named Pororo and his friends. With distinct personalities and interests, these little friends often run into problems that upset their ecosystem. Nevertheless, Pororo and his friends believe that there are no mountains too high to climb, and continue to help each other.
Kate & Mim-Mim (Season 1)
Kate is a young girl with a wild imagination. It’s that imagination that attracts a bunny named Mim-Mim, who becomes a larger- than-life playmate for Kate as they travel to the fantasy world of Mimiloo.
Kate goes there whenever she has a problem at home that she needs to solve. In Mimiloo, Kate can be whatever she wants, from a princess to a pirate. Other residents of Mimiloo include gardener Gobble, inventor Tack and mischievous Boomer.
When each adventure ends, Kate has solved her problem and is anxious to get home to tell her parents about it.
