I have always been intrigued by Pop-up books when I was a little girl. Pretty to look at and amazingly, the pictures and images in it some how pop right out of the book when you flip a page. So when a forum friend introduce this title as a must have to introduce the kids to the classics, I jump at the chance to get one for
me my boy.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: A Commemorative Pop-up is beautifully crafted and a work of art by itself. We are pleasantly surprised as each page is turned and we are presented with a scene as enchanting as the classic tale of the heroine’s journey to the land of magic and adventure.
In a scene depicting a twister, the structure and illustration of the pop-up portion actually give the illusion of the nature phenomenal. In another scene where the heroine reach the emerald palace, we were given paper glasses which wow make the whole scene look green and glowing.
There are also mini books within the book with pop up images too. My boy was so mesmerized that he insist I finish reading the entire book even though it was way pass his bedtime.
